Wainscot Media featured on “Jerseylicious”

The incredible team at Wainscot Media was featured on  “Jerseylicious”, which airs on The Style Network.

Tracy DiMarco, the popular hairstylist featured on the hit docu-soap, traded in her hairspray and blow-dryer for a notepad and pen to be an editorial apprentice at Wainscot’s Health & Life division of regional magazines, helping out at various photo shoots, including a “Grill & Chill” food feature and high-end fashion gallery.

Wainscot kicks back at Whiskey Park

After clients of the Sartorial Group of Wainscot Media concluded their July 2011 meeting at the New York showroom of Hugo Boss, the gang moved uptown to Whiskey Park. This favorite Sartorial Group watering hole is located in the Trump Parc at the corner of Central Park South and Sixth Avenue. Designed by Thomas O’Brien of the Aero Design Group, the dark, sleek space features cork walls and ceiling, deep brown leather sofas and arm chairs, Moroccan carpets and the rock-n-roll photography of the late Jim Marshall, whose work was featured recently in Wainscot’s sartorial magazines.

Under the immortalized gaze of a cigarette-toking Jim Morrison, specialty store owners Johnell Garmany, Craig Beecroft, Murry and Karen Penner, Barry and Stuart Segel, David and Ellen Levy, Dick Pattison and others sipped whiskey, hustled other guests at the pool table, and traded friendly insults into the wee hours.

Check out some photos, after the jump.

Team Hell, consisting of redheads and brunettes, was captained by formerly dark-haired president Mark Dowden.

Weeks after the Wainscot teams slaved over copper cauldrons, stirring their boiling wort with five-foot spatulas, the rival brews were unveiled at the July 19, 2011, meeting of the Sartorial Group. Clients judged the beers on color, body, nose, taste, finish and creativity of name and label. Hot Damn, the amber ale from Hell, beat Forgive Me Father, a Hoegaarden-like offering from Heaven, by a decisive margin.

The airy Hugo Boss showroom in Chelsea was the setting for a party co-hosted by the fashion giant and the Sartorial Group of Wainscot Media on July 19, 2011. Mark Brashear, chairman of Hugo Boss in the U.S., and Mark Dowden, president of Wainscot, were on hand to welcome specialty-store owners from around the country who publish brand magazines with Wainscot. Following a roundtable discussion of marketing opportunities for the coming season, the event concluded with a fashion show of the Hugo Boss spring/summer 2012 collection.
